Did you know that your faith is power? When operating in faith it can create life-changing moments, experiences, and opportunities. Let’s explore more about faith is power.

Stepping out on faith is easy for some to do and much harder for others, hence Peter when he attempted to walk on water, then sank because of his lack of faith.
Then there’s others like Noah, who built an ark despite looking “crazy,” whose remarkable faith saved him and his family from a terrible flood.
You see the thing about faith is that it’ll require you to do the unheard of or unthinkable, yet it always proves to be so worthwhile, because it yields unimaginable results.
So, what is faith?
The Bible defines faith as, “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
In this post you’re going to learn a great biblical example of faith is power. You’ll also learn how to walk in faith every day, what the scripture tells us about faith, and so much more.
After reading this post, you’ll know why faith is powerful, what keeps faith strong, and so much more about faith.

Faith is power Biblical example
Powerful faith in action couldn’t be shown more clearly in the Bible than the woman’s (with the issue of blood) encounter with Jesus.
When she heard about Jesus, she thought to herself, that if she gets close enough to touch his clothes, then she’ll be healed from her blood issue.
Her belief proved to be right, because as soon as she touched Jesus’ clothes she was instantly healed!
After she touched him, Jesus noticed that power had left him, so he stopped and began asking who’d touched him.
The woman then came forward and explained why she touched him and that she had been healed as a result.
Her testimony is literally the meaning of faith is power, or shall I say faith releases power?
You see, her faith manifested in her actions and brought along the results that she had hoped for. All because she stepped out and utilized her faith.
She serves as a powerful reminder to keep the faith even when nothing you’ve tried has worked, because eventually something will!
Why is faith powerful?
As seen with the woman with the issue of blood, faith releases the power of God through healing, deliverance, miracles, etc.
Had she not had the faith to touch Jesus then she probably would’ve never been healed. Imagine if she was doubtful and didn’t believe that Jesus could heal her?
Then she would’ve been stuck with the same health problem for the rest of her life. Because of her lack of faith.
Hebrews 11:6, tells us,
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Faith is powerful and plays a major role in your relationship with God a well. Because if you doubt Him, it’s nearly impossible to experience Him, get close to Him, and get answered prayers. So never give up your faith!

What scripture tells us about faith?
Scripture tells us the importance of faith in many Bible verses. Here are a few good verses about faith:
Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised).”
Romans 1:17, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written; The just shall live by faith.”
Matthew 21:21, “Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
James 1:3, “Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Hebrews 11:7, “By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.”
Galatians 3:9, “So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”
James 2:17, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
2 Timothy 2:22, “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
Hebrews 10:38, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”
Ephesians 6:16, “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
James 5:15, “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”
5 Tips: How to walk in faith every day?
1.Read Hebrews Chapter 11
Hebrews chapter 11 gives you countless examples of faith in the Bible. Reading it routinely will strengthen your faith so that you can walk in faith daily. It’ll serve as a reminder of what faith looks like in everyday life, that you too can emulate. When you engulf yourself in God’s word, it’ll eventually settle in your heart, then you’ll have no choice but to believe what it says.
2.Keep doubt out of your mind
Doubt will only hinder your relationship with God and your prayer life. Don’t place limits on what God can do in your life just like the ancients were commended for in Hebrews chapter 11. Some of the greatest blessings in the Bible came when a person had faith in God.
3.Pray and ask God to increase your faith
If you struggle with faith, then ask God in prayer to strengthen it and to give you more faith. Doing this will give you access to God in ways you never knew existed. And as you become experienced with Him, it’ll become easier to believe and walk in faith every day. Because you’ll become accustomed to His character and ways.
4.Surround yourself with faith filled people
Faith is contagious. The more you’re around others whose faith is strong, then the more you’ll become like them and have strong faith as well. Get involved in your local church, a faith based online or offline community group, etc. It’ll help keep you on the right track.
5.Pray with full assurance of faith
Pray daily, with the strong belief that God hears you and will answer your prayers. When you do this, you’ll have a way better chance at getting your prayers answered than you do if you doubt God. And if you struggle with your faith, I’ve included a good faith prayer towards the end of the article.

What keeps faith strong?
Romans 10:17 tells us that, “Faith comes by hearing.”
The lady with the issue of blood first heard about Jesus, then believed that He could heal her as a result of simply hearing about him.
She hadn’t seen him perform any miracles; she had only heard about him before she touched him and became healed.
So that tells us that hearing about Jesus can strengthen our faith.
Along with:
- Reading the Bible
- Listening to peoples’ testimonies about Him
The more you hear about Jesus and what He’s capable of doing, the more you’ll begin to believe in Him strongly.
That’s exactly how it was when I began to seek a relationship with Jesus. My faith increased in Him, because of the testimonies about Him that I’d first heard from others.
From there I began to build my faith by reading the Bible and spending time with God in prayer. And now my faith is through the roof! Very strong and unshakable.
The strength of my faith all came from hearing about Jesus first, then taking the proper steps to learn about Him and invest in a relationship with Him. It has paid off tremendously!

Short faith prayer for you
Lord,
“I love you and I desire to please you. I know to please you one must have faith in you, Father. So I ask right now that you greatly increase my faith in you and let it show in my daily life. From how I speak, behave, think, and in my actions. I know my faith isn’t where it needs to be, so I humbly ask you to give me more, so that you take delight in me. “
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
