Prayer goes before us and lands in the lap of God for Him to hear our struggles and cries for help. In one of my recent articles, I wrote about the miraculous healing of my mechanic from stage 4 cancer.
He didn’t call on a friend or family member to ask for help, instead he wept at the alter and called on God. His prayer alone was enough to move God to quickly heal him.

Short prayer for healing and recovery for someone
Lord,
“I come to you on behalf of ___[insert name here]___. I ask that you come into their mind, body, heart, and soul and heal them, and strongly assist them in their recovery.
Place a desire in them to seek and pray to you for help with their healing. Quickly assist them in their healing and recovery, Lord. Help, protect, and heal them, I pray.”
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Healing prayer for myself
Lord,
“Thank you for being so kind and gracious to me. I ask that you extend your grace to help me heal from ___[insert problem here]___.
Bless me with a supernatural healing that only you can give. Provide and be a strong source of comfort to me as I go through this journey.
Offer me guidance so that I don’t make the wrong decisions. And place your hedge of protection over me from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet.
Heal me in every area of life that I need healing in, including the seen and the unseen and the known and unknown.
Be a strong source of strength for me to rely on because I know I’ll need it. I can’t make it without you Lord.
I need you to heal me so I can move forward with my life and be the man/woman that you designed me to be. Lord, make me whole and supply my needs.”
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
What is the powerful prayer for health and healing?
A powerful prayer for health and healing is a prayer said in faith, that directly asks God for healing and health restoration.
When you pray for healing be direct and expressive to God just as you would if you were speaking to your parent. It’s also a great idea to give God thanks and quote scriptures from His word that applies to your situation.
Here’s a great example below:
Healing prayer for the sick family member
Lord,
“Thank you for loving me first. I also thank you for the safety and protection that you provide, Heavenly Father. Lord, a family member of mine is sick and in great need of healing.
I ask that you stop all their suffering, mental anguish, emotional distress, and all pain that they’re experiencing right now in the name of Jesus. Heal them and ease their sorrow and pain.
Increase and strengthen their faith in you. Bless them to believe that they can and will be healed. Because your word says, “As a man thinketh, so is he.” Lord, in Ezekiel 37, you asked, “Can these bones live?”
And you commanded Ezekiel to prophecy to them and because he spoke to them as you commanded, they lived. You rose them up from the valley, gave them breath, and restored their lives.
Lord, you alone did that without the help of anyone. Lord, I truly believe that there is nothing too hard for you, just as your word says.
And I pray that my prayers and faith successfully intercedes on behalf of my sick relative to heal them.
Come into ___[insert name here]___ life and restore and heal them right now I ask. And I call ___[insert name here]___ healed, in the name of Jesus.”
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Short prayer for healing and recovery for a family member
Lord,
“I ask that you expedite the healing of ___[insert name here]___. Allow them quick recovery and speedy healing.
Save them and help them as they heal. Whatever pain they’re feeling, I ask that it quickly ceases. And that you heal their mind, body, soul, and spirit.”
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Lord,
“I love you and I really need you right now. I’m in need of a breakthrough that no one can give to me but you, Lord.
I am in dire need of a miraculous healing Lord Jesus. Miraculously turn my situation around with great speed and acceleration and cause my pain and suffering to end swiftly.
Heal my body of its pain and heal me. Cleanse my heart and my mind and give me a clean slate.
Forgive me of all my sins Heavenly Father; the seen and the unseen and the known and the unknown.
I take full accountability for my wrongdoings to others and to you Lord, and I pray for complete and total forgiveness once and for all.
Heal every aspect of my mind, body, and soul. Come into my life and make me better, whole, and complete. I ask that you bless me with supernatural healing and divine favor to successfully be restored.
Lord, all the praise and glory belongs to you, Heavenly Father. I take no credit in my healing, all credit goes to you Heavenly Father.
Deliver me from all sickness, illness, and disease. Rescue me from my troubles. I command all sickness to be healed right now, and to be fully restored. By His stripes, I declare that I am healed. Hallelujah!”

Lord,
“I need hope and healing. Go before me and prepare the way for healing to take place.
Provide me with healing and provision; supply my needs according to your riches and glory.
There’s no such thing as lack in your kingdom, Lord.
And I pray that all scarcity ends and that I be healed in the name of Jesus and by the blood of Jesus. Because there’s nothing too hard for you, Lord.
And I know that your ear is not too heavy that it can not hear and neither is your arm too short that it cannot save.
Give me hope and let not my hope be deferred that it makes my heart sick. Instead, strengthen my faith and let me utilize it to its fullest extent.
Help me to overcome all forms of heartache, suffering, pain, sickness, and disease.”
