Always Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fear

It’s not always easy to let your faith be bigger than your fear. Fear can sometimes cloud your judgment and keep you stuck in a place where you don’t belong. So, let’s explore more about let your faith be bigger than your fear.

let your faith be bigger than your fear

As children of God, we always have to step out on faith. There will be moments where we’ll feel like we need turn by turn directions for guidance, but that never ends up happening.

Although if it did, that would certainly make life so much easier! I know this feeling all too well, as I’ve been in many situations when I didn’t know what to do and my faith had to be my guide.

Those uncertain situations have been some of the most rewarding experiences in my life. Because they worked out in my favor, built my character, and strengthened my faith.

In this post you are going to learn about a real-life example about how to let your faith be bigger than your fear.

After reading this post you will hopefully find inspiration through the real-life example and begin stepping out on faith and stop operating out of fear.

This post is all about let your faith be bigger than your fear.

Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fear

Let your faith be bigger than your fear meaning through example

If anyone knows what let your faith be bigger than your fear is, it’s me. By the time I became an adult, I had aged out of the foster care system and had to start my life from scratch.

And it sucked!

I didn’t have much of a support system, very little money, minimal help, and little knowledge of how the world really worked. As you can imagine I was in a bind and found myself in a situation that required me to step out on faith.

At the time I was living in a small country city, and I was so eager to get out and see all the world that I’d missed while growing up.

I had never really traveled outside of my state so I began applying for housing in other states so that I could have a fresh start. Two months passed and I managed to get approved for a townhome—way in Seattle.

It was over 2,000 miles away from where I was at the time. I had never been to Seattle or knew anything about it whatsoever, but what I did know was that I was getting the heck out of where I was! And I did… And it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’d ever made in my life.

The Move that Required Faith

I packed what little belongings I had and headed to Seattle. I didn’t know a single soul there and didn’t have a job already lined up.

However, I didn’t let that stop me because I was in search for a better life and a new city that could provide me opportunities to prosper and better myself.

For the first few months, it was hard adjusting to Seattle because its gloomy weather had a very depressing effect on me.

However, I quickly and easily found a job, and I emphasize easily because in the city I moved from, getting a job was like finding a needle in 10 haystacks. It was hard!

After some time, I enrolled in college and went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. I also met my best friend, first love, and a loving mother figure there. And collected some really cool life experiences that I would never have had, had I not stepped out on faith and moved.

I learned so much as a result of moving to a big city and I was no longer the naïve inexperienced young girl that I once was.

That experience is a great example of letting your faith be bigger than your fear. If I were operating based on fear of the unknown, then I would have been stuck living an unhappy unfulfilled life with very little opportunity and resources available.

And God only knows where my life would be right now if I didn’t utilize my faith.

A Good Faith Prayer for You

Lord,

“I pray that you increase and expand my faith to phenomenal heights. Let it take me places that I can’t go on my own.

I pray that I step out on faith and that it opens doors and creates beneficial opportunities for me, Lord Jesus. Give me more than enough faith to complete my life’s calling.

I ask that I make you proud of having created me, because I accomplish your purpose with excellence.

Help me to think outside of the box and not place any limitations on you Lord, and what you can do. Because I believe that all things are possible with you Lord.

And I know anything can be done in any way that you see fit. Bless me with opportunities that allow me to use the faith that you blessed me with, and go before me and prepare the way.”

In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

How can I apply Hebrews 13:6 to my life?

Hebrews 13:6 says, “So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

The best way to apply it to your life is to speak it, believe it, and live a lifestyle filled with choices that reflect Hebrews 13:6. Meditate and speak it aloud daily so it becomes instilled in your mind and spirit.

As you mediate and speak it routinely, you’ll begin to believe it wholeheartedly. As time goes by your beliefs will become evident in your speech and actions.

So, you’ll naturally start to apply it to your life as you make it a part of your daily life.

In the next section of this article, I’ll give you a few helpful scriptures.

Let your faith be bigger than your fear bible verse

Hebrews 13:6, “So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

Galatians 3:9, “So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.”

Romans 8:31, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

James 2:17, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters; he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
